Assessment & Feedback

We complete Parent Teacher Interviews in Term 1 and Term 3 of each year. This provides parents with an opportunity to initially meet the class teacher and also receive face to face feedback on their child’s progress. Parents of students who have additional needs will meet with the teacher each term.

End of semester reports are completed twice a year in June and December. We hope to move to continuous online reporting shortly with end of semester summaries. This will ensure timely, and relevant feedback is shared with students and parents. Currently, school reports are issued before the end of Term 2 & 4 to allow parents to be in contact with teachers if needed.

To complete reports teachers use the evidence gained from a range of formal and informal assessment tasks and learning experiences conducted throughout the semester. Progress and achievement are mapped against the Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standards. A 5-point scale is used to map achievement, student receive a rating of Well Above Standard, Above Standard, At Standard, Below Standard and Well Below Standard.

A pastoral report provides students with a summary of their academic results and their co-curricular contribution.
